Not a well made tool. The idea behind it is great, but made so poorly it is destined to break. Even for six bucks.
FYI - by putting the force of the lever over the staples, instead of on the "heel" of the tool, it is ergonomic and easy to use. Poor construction is its downfall.
For those wondering I did just use this on my roof with nails. It worked great. I did about 50 nails into my roof through aluminum flashing and into the shingles. No issues at all. I bet it works better with nails than staples. Either way I am glad I got it.
