SunJoe likes ot advertise its max psi, which is basically the pressure when the water comes out at first. Beware that after the initial burst the pressure drops substantially. You need to find the constant pressure instead of the max pressure.
I bought this for my dad since his died. All of you saying it's not enough pressure to clean concrete. Not true. I used my surface attachment to test and it cleaned my sidewalk quite handily. I had to move a touch slower than I do with my gas one but it still did a fine job. I started to use it to get some crud off my car and damaged the clear coat in one little spot so I had to stop using it and finish by hand. It's plenty fine for a lot of people's needs.

Well, not expecting much, but purchased.
Also purchased with the ASURION 3 Year Lawn and Garden warranty.

Have a Honda gas powered one, but need a light duty for car washes.
Exactly. It's like owning a chainsaw but also having a quick pruning saw for small work.

For washing cars you should use a 40 degree nozzle only, for the exact reason you stated. It can damage paint and/or clear coat quite easily.

For those having the vibration issue, try running water through the entire system before you turn the power on for the unit. You likely have a pocket of air caught in the system and it results in what you described. Hold the trigger on the wand open and let the water dribble out for 30 seconds at a time until it just flows freely, no hiccups and then flip the power back on. You should then be able to put a nozzle on and start washing your target.

I got the one from the Walmart sale a few weeks back. Different model but still a Sun Joe. It's OK. I was going to use it only for washing my car and for use with a foam cannon and I really got caught up with the specs and getting the most GPM. The foam works fine but I'm also using the MJJC cannon, which is $80. Seems kind of dumb to have a foam cannon cost the same as your pressure washer and not being happy with the pressure washer.

So the foam goes on thick (using CarPro Lift one times and another time I used Meguair's Shampoo Plus) but hosing the car off takes forever with the 40 degree add on. I don't want to go lower than that to avoid damaging the paint and not using the angle-add-on-thingy just sends out a direct, but weak, stream of water.

Just because it has the higher GPM, doesn't mean much. I still don't want to spend more then $200ish for a pressure washer and I may just get the Karcher I saw at Home Depot and return the Sun Joe to Walmart.

What you may want to consider is a second garden hose for rinsing. You can get a cheap splitter for your hose bib from Harbor Freight and run that second hose without fooling around with the pressure washer setup as you go, doing the typical "foam, rinse, foam, agitate, rinse" pattern I see mentioned often in short order.

Yeah but I was also planning on rinsing the car with the pressure washer as well. Otherwise, it kind of defeats the purpose if I have to switch out of a pressure washer to a regular hose.

It's good for a car where you don't want the clear coat ripped off.
That's a real thing. Let a relative use my 3200 gas pressure washer and he was fairly annoyed when his repeated close-ups to blast away bugs ended up removing (old) paint.

from now on anyone I don't know already knows the risks/rewards of pressure washers uses my Sun Joe. And for sure that's my only loaner now!

when i first got my wen 3200 gas pressure washer a couple of years back for about $225 i used it for 8 hours the first day and everything went great. the second day after about 4 hours i was holding a plastic plastic patio chair in one hand and the wand in the other hand having only hand motion control and not second hand control also.

well, i manage to go across the fingers on the hand holding the plastic patio chair. at first i didnt realize what i had done until i saw this flap of skin hanging on the first segment of the middle finger.

for a couple of days i doctored it and the second layer of skin also came off. you have 3 layers of skin.

then i went to the minor ER and the doctor said it looked like a cigarette burn, but i dont smoke. the doctor said it would heal but there were be a lower place there. I got lucky and it totally healed.

you live and you learn! pressure washers can be very dangerous! wear safety goggles. i wouldnt loan a gas high powered pressure washer out for safety. if the other person using it isnt experienced with one and they get hurt they could try to go after you.
