I spent a few months in Japan in 2012 and I was getting 76 yen to the dollar. The current exchange rate is 144 yen to the dollar... Yes, you read that correctly: you're getting almost double the yen for each dollar as you would have just one decade ago. What used to be a rather costly country is now quite affordable, especially for how modern, clean, beautiful, fun, and safe Japan is.
Is it possible to visit other countries i.e China/Korea during the stay?
This would come out to be cheaper than booking a direct flight to those destinations.
