Note that Kingston coupons generally don't work on sale price items.

I just bought the fury 2tb, so I don't need this drive, but I thought I would post the deal just in case you missed the 2tb kc3000 last time.

980 Pro isn't any better tho, and from what I can remember still couple bucks higher than this at its lowest price. I'd take this any day over the Samsung.

Also S70 Blade, SN850 and Adata Premium were all once at $180, can't really go wrong with any of them.
Yes, I can just see gamers insisting on encrypting their drives. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Does this need a heatsink to work on the PS5?

Yes, and I have had pretty good success using the warship heatsink which is about ~$10:

980 pro was at this price as well a few weeks ago. So unless you really need this you can wait it out

Werent there supposed to be a new round of price cuts coming or are the tensions surrounding Chinas war mongering Taiwan going to cancel them?

It will work without a heatsink, and plenty of people have opted not to use one and they've been just fine, but it's always safer to get one. You can get a good one for less than $20. I got mine for $10. Almost no heat reaches the the secondary SSD port and the SSD can handle a decent amount of heat anyways, so you don't need anything fancy.

It doesn't technically need one to work. It's just safer with one.
