All prices seem to 25-30% more than in store and with service fee, it ends being the same price in store..

Genuine question. Instacart prices for Costco are close to 20 percent markup over in store prices. Add in service fees/delivery/ tip and total cost might break even to just going in store? Is anyone actually saving here? Besides saving a trip?

Worst company ever!! I redeemed the coupon and ordered $100+ worth of items from Costco. At checkout the coupon was successfully applied but when I received the items, I was charged the full amount. Contacted their customer service and all they keep replying is the coupon has a redemption limit and the redemptions limit was reached before I checked out. Wtf kinda response is that!!! Screwing over customers because their internal system sucks..

Had same thing, so I placed first pick up order for sunday pick up and second for tuesday pick up to use the $15 of $35 promotion. Now costco one was ready to go for $50 off $100, so placed earliest possible delivery for same day.
Now the second pick up order I don't need so will cancel it after picking up Sunday order.
This...is brilliant...

Delivery is free and service fee is nominal if you have instacart+. You should definitely be saving $ after tip and mark up

Exact same thing happened to me for my Costco order. In my case, I happened to notice that I was being charged the full amount while the shopper had already started shopping. The only thing customer service was willing to do for me was cancel the order, even though the glitch was their fault. When I asked if I would be charged a cancellation fee, the rep had the balls to say YES $15. Wow. Finally, she was willing to "waive" the fee as a "one time courtesy."

How insulting. Instacart you suck.

(Btw.I was hit with this $15 cancellation fee before when they messed up another order. That's why I knew to ask this time and make sure they don't do it again. WARNING: Both times, they did not tell me about a cancellation fee. It'll just show up on your credit card bill.)

it's not that much. It seems like it is around 9% or less per item. For example Parmigiano Reggiano cheese I was paying $12.99 per lb in store and $13.11 on instacart.

You can also "cheat" the discount further by ordering out of stock items to reach the minimum. Never affects the discount. You can even message the shopper to mark an item out of stock and they can do it for you.

You can get the total as low as the minimum service fee only. If you order $50 of in stock items and $50 of out of stock, you can get the total somewhere around $2 I think.

Some times you can get a deal too where there is a price mistake and the price on something is just not correct. I've noticed that on doordash especially. I doubledash order a $2 smoothie from tropical smoothie cafe because one of them is priced wrong.

For this particular costco order my subtotal was $86 (after out of stock items) and I think my total was $40 including $1.65 service fee after discount. I estimate the items probably costed around $80 in store so I came out way ahead.

that's your fault. These promos go fast or not at all. This one went fast and you should have spotted it quicker and checked out quicker. When I saw the email it was 70% left and I checked in a few mins and it was at 60%. I made sure to check out as quickly as possible

All I got was a $25 off $65 Staples coupon. Unsure what I would use it for
