I had one and returned it for that reason. The subpixel arrangement made text less sharp than on IPS panels and since I would be using it 100% for productivity with no gaming, it annoyed me too much so I went with the LG 40" 5K2K instead.

The difference is exactly 1.
The difference is supposed to be the panel, however a lot of the C1s that came out later on use the same panel as the C2

For those with PCs using this as a monitor, can I ask how text is? I know this is amazing for games/movies but I'm wondering I'm likely using this 80% for productivity. Just love the size. But I'm hearing mixed reviews on the text clarity (I know for Mac people get spoiled by their MBP but they're unhappy with even the higher end IPS screens). But wondering for windows

wow... that's awesome. you got a really nice one. wish I had that budget since the C2 really is stretching it for me.

I guess I'll have to "settle" for one of the 34" LG IPS..still trying to decide which one

How do I convince my wife to let me get this? Not even about the money, but to mount it on a wall.

I'm due up for a gaming monitor (around 8 years old at this point) but none of them check all the boxes...

I looked at the Odyssey Neo G8 32" for and that new LG Gaming 32" IPS monitor. They just have poor reviews compared to an actual OLED TV with 120hz. And the Neo is like $1500

That you won't get a better and more inexpensive monitor than this, especially with top notch quality.

add usb-c power delivery and picture-by-picture modes. then it will be the perfect monitor.

And DisplayPort. That's the one thing holding me back. I don't have a graphics card capable of 120hz via HDMI, like a lot of us.

Look at LG 38WK95C-W, that extra height pixelwise vs 34 is nice for productivity use.

Tried the 48" version oled a few months ago. Too big and too reflective screen.
40" is ideal for 4K monitor for productivity. But I also need a more matte like screen.

If the price goes down, its deflation not inflation.

But there is a big difference. The C2 weighs considerably less than the C1 which is important for weak individuals and those with little kids. In fact, it's rare to see such a big difference from one year to the next in any kind of product. Also, the 42" is a better fit for my bedroom.
