C1 is better for HDR and Dolby Vision, B2 is very slightly brighter. I'd rather get a C1 for a lower price; they are still around if you look.

This is a good price for so early in the B2 lifecycle. That bodes well for the C2 and G2 later. For those wondering, this is 95%+ as good as the C2. Main differences are:
- # of HDMI 2.1 inputs (2 here vs 4 on C2)
- B2 does not get as bright for HDR content
- C2 has slightly better picture processing

Here is the Rtings.com compare:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.10

Keep in mind it is a deal of the day, so today only, but eventually you will be able to get it for this price again and cheaper if you are willing to wait.

LG OLEDs are the best on the market. Their regular TVs are junk. You can't compare their low-tier LEDs with their high-tier OLED stuff. That's apples and oranges.

Why not just grab a C1 with the Evo panel? There was a way iirc by looking up the serial number.
I guess but what if you're buying online and don't have the serial number? Plus the G1 comes with the next gen tv tuner and a 5 year panel warranty compared to the 1 for the C1

Best Buy and Amazon were selling it for that back in July and August. But Microcenter sells the 55 C1, refurbished, for $900.

I got an LG OLED about 5 yrs ago and the picture was great but the panel had to be replaced three time bc it kept getting green blotches. It was a fairly common issue at the time. Is this still a problem? Thanks

That's up to you.

I wouldn't buy another LG if it was free. One I'm stuck with now, an LED, The Networking module fails, the magic cursor fails, the bluetooth fails. I keep getting notices across the top of the TV that my Wired connection disconnected, then connected, back and forth. I have to pull the ethernet plug to make it stop, and their support is TERRIBLE. Never forget LG stands for "Lucky Goldstar" Goldstar, maker of the biggest crap in electronics history

Great deal IMO especially how close it is to C2 in performance.

Meh. This is what I paid for my 55" C2 last month from Target with the college student discount.

Main difference is really the processor. C2 processor (A9) is much better the A7 in the B2 and C1 in my experience. I own a C1 55 and a C2 65, the A7 processor is extremely sluggish when navigating settings and webOS. The A9 is snappy

How? The discount was only 20% and the tv is 1500.

Sorry I thought I got it for cheaper, but I guess I paid $1140 for the C2. I think the extra $140 is worth the B2 to C2 upgrade.

I'm sorry, was that supposed to make sense? Maybe start with grammar, then work your way up to comments
