What worked in my favor is that there seem to be multi tier agents with bestbuy (I could be completely wrong here but that's what it seemed like).
Initially there's an agent that routes you to another agent if the product is eligible for price match. So the tier ones check eligibility, tier 2 actually issue the refund.
In my case, I had a separate product bought from BB which I price matched with amazon.
On getting myself routed to, what I like to call, the tier 2 agents, I casually asked him "I have one more product to price match". Gave them the staples weekly ad boom that worked.
Keep in mind you need to place an order while you're chatting and then they issue a refund.
Edit: I forgot to mention I am a BB cardholder (not sure if that matters). Also, I price matched the 45mm midnight color which isn't on the weekly ad
All I can say is hang in there folks. Keep chatting with different agents! Don't lose hope
