FYI, there's some other BS fee attached that ends up making the total $120ish. That said we did this last go around, I don't regret it.

I agree the streaming is a major benefit, we use it regularly at the house. Probably at least 3x as much as I use the car radio. They have a decent Apple TV app too.
Well it's going to vary by state based on that state's taxes and fees.

This used to be for older vehicles. I know my 2004 Chevy qualified a few years ago but that vehicle is long gone.

edit: My 2017 minivan does not qualify. probably need a vehicle at least 10+ years old.

The back story to this is that the deal they made with the FCC when allowed to merge was that they would not increase the rates. So instead they simply broke out the royalty fees and then increased their charges.

In other words something like this:

Old:$25 month fee

New: $10 royalty fee $25 monthly fee = $35/month

A 5th grader can see that this _is_ actually an increased charge.

The cancelation and renewal process with Sirius is grueling. Like dealing with time share salesman.

3 years of not having to deal with renewal is worth it.

I have had the lifetime subscription since 2003 , can't say I used it much at all in the past decade ,shocked they are still going pretty strong

2012 chevy with an account last activated in 2017 worked for this special but the 2019 mini that last had Sirius in 3/22 didn't
