FYI this is the basic plan; no Howard for those who care.

FYI, there's some other BS fee attached that ends up making the total $120ish. That said we did this last go around, I don't regret it.

My 1-year sub ends in a few days .. went on Chat to cancel. They refused to give me the 3year/$99 deal. So I cancelled.

Surprised they let me go, as I told them I'd do the 3/99 deal, and they'll likely offer it to me at some point anyhow.

Oh, well. Not a huge fan anyhow. Was mostly looking forward to not having to deal with those twats for 3 years.

Success! I added the $99 plan for 3 years to a car I have that doesn't even have a working radio—but it used to be on my account. I looked up the radio ID in the bill history and added the $99 plan to it. Waited a week and called back said I was selling that car and transferred that $99 plan to our other car. BOOM!

Logistically, they canceled my new car (which was month by month). Next, they went to my old car (which has the $99 deal) and they put my new car's radio ID in that plan. So it was just like I bought a new car. Similar situation how they handled it.
Grrrrr... thanks for the confirmation. Others were saying they just cancel the old car and prorate refund but won't transfer to new so I didn't end up doing the 3 years as we might be getting rid of the car soon. I guess I'll try when my current year is up using the old radio ID and see what happens.

It worked for me. My $60 1 year promo plan was expiring in 2 days, so I contacted chat. Bot chat offered to renew me automatically at $5.99/mo (plus fees) for another year. I declined. Connected to a rep and I asked about the 3 year/$99 offer. They asked how I learned about the offer and I said a family member was offered it for having an older model vehicle, and mine is older. They told me I was eligible and renewed me for $119 total for 3 years. Easiest Sirius interaction I've ever had.

I had a promotional period expiring in a week so I brought this up. The first agent said this was not available anymore. I logged in again and said that I either wanted this deal or I'd like to cancel my subscription. After some back and forth and me continuing this position, they gave me the deal.

Wouldn't you love to know what goes on in the call center? I mean, I have zero doubt they all know of the 3 year/$99 promo.

So why screw around? Or is that the whole plan. There's a counter on the record "Number of times asked for best deal" .. if the number is zero, they say no. When you call back, they know you are persistent and give it to you?

Customer frustration .. nice way to do business.

Tried on newer vehicle. These promos are for 2016 and older vehicles and phone and chat reps are refusing to honor it for newer ones. That's pretty stupid but SiriusXM can run their business however they want.

Correct. Tried one chat and one phone and no dice. Pretty stupid business model if you ask me. They could have guaranteed $149 on the spot revenue prepaid and booked and instead they got $0. Morons.

Same here, but the chat rep told me it's for 2013 or newer, then he tried to offer me the $6.00 a month rate. I told him "Bye". The stupid part is all you have to do is find a 2013 or 2016, add that radio to your account, then call and tell them that you sold the car and ask to have it transferred. I won't go to that effort and SiriusXM can just lose my business.

Man I would so get this but my car is a 2017 and I enjoyed the service but with Spotify already I can't justify the lesser promo price. If anyone has tactics for a previous subscriber with a 2017 to get this deal I'm open

I just purchased a 2015 car with a Radio ID and they wouldn't do the deal because I didn't have the Account number. Anyone know if there's a workaround for this situation???

To be fair to Sirius.,.they don't control those fees. Those are licensing fees they have to pay for the music and content. They don't get a penny of that $

Also streaming is included as well for all Sirius packages. So you can use this with your phone. Or even better is using with Alexa or google speakers. "Hey google play (channel name or number) on Sirius XM' and it will play. Perfect for when you have company over and want background music. Or for me I use it for music during the day working.
I hope you are going to be fair to Netflix, AppleTV, Prime, and Hulu. Where is their extra fee for content?

Let's be fair to Netflix, Prime, and AppleTV and all the other TV services. They don't add on a fee for content. SiriusXM has no business without content, so maybe they should be charging us a fee for renting office space, utilities, satellite capacity ....

I was able to get this deal as a current subscriber. Plus I get 5% back from Discover as SiriusXM counts as one of the streaming services in the quarterly 5% back category.

I did a chat and asked them to give me the $99/3 Years deal or cancel my subscription. They offered to what deal they could offer.
I told the agent if SiriusXM does not value my 10+ years as a steady customer as much as that of a new or returning customer, then we can cancel now. I can stream Pandora just fine.

Like buying a new car, she had to talk to her manager. I then had to provide the URL for the deal. They took several minutes, but then gave it to me with no hassle other than the really long wait time between their replies.

My subscription ran out 2 days ago and I was hit up $23.15 monthly fee then to continue the Music & Entertainment subscription ($17.99) with US Music Royalty Fee ($3.60) and my state 6% tax ($1.31).
They credited me with a pro-rated amount on the $23.15 I was charged with 2 days ago, which worked out to a $21.66 credit applied to the $99 deal. I essentially was charged $1.49 for the two days of service.

My billing page shows:
Service date: 3/5/23 - 3/5/26
Long Term Plan - Music & Entertainment - 3yrs $99.00
U.S. Music Royalty Fee -$3.60
State Tax -$1.23
Music & Entertainment - 1mo - wActv -$16.83
------------
Total Charge today $77.34

My card shows $105.74 pending ($99 + Sales tax), but that should adjust down $77.34 when the final charge comes through. I suspect my state 6% sales tax ($4.64) may get caught and applied then as well.

I thought they did right by me with minimal hassle, just the waiting was bad. The chat took 55 minutes.
My previous annual deals worked out to $6/month and change per month where this works out to $2.75/month, more than half off my past best deal.
Perhaps the real bonus is not having to call back each year and do the dog and pony show for a better deal for 3 years!
