Surprised they let me go, as I told them I'd do the 3/99 deal, and they'll likely offer it to me at some point anyhow.
Oh, well. Not a huge fan anyhow. Was mostly looking forward to not having to deal with those twats for 3 years.
Logistically, they canceled my new car (which was month by month). Next, they went to my old car (which has the $99 deal) and they put my new car's radio ID in that plan. So it was just like I bought a new car. Similar situation how they handled it.
So why screw around? Or is that the whole plan. There's a counter on the record "Number of times asked for best deal" .. if the number is zero, they say no. When you call back, they know you are persistent and give it to you?
Customer frustration .. nice way to do business.
called today and took 17 minutes total but i got it!

Same here, but the chat rep told me it's for 2013 or newer, then he tried to offer me the $6.00 a month rate. I told him "Bye". The stupid part is all you have to do is find a 2013 or 2016, add that radio to your account, then call and tell them that you sold the car and ask to have it transferred. I won't go to that effort and SiriusXM can just lose my business.
Also streaming is included as well for all Sirius packages. So you can use this with your phone. Or even better is using with Alexa or google speakers. "Hey google play (channel name or number) on Sirius XM' and it will play. Perfect for when you have company over and want background music. Or for me I use it for music during the day working.

I did a chat and asked them to give me the $99/3 Years deal or cancel my subscription. They offered to what deal they could offer.
I told the agent if SiriusXM does not value my 10+ years as a steady customer as much as that of a new or returning customer, then we can cancel now. I can stream Pandora just fine.
Like buying a new car, she had to talk to her manager. I then had to provide the URL for the deal. They took several minutes, but then gave it to me with no hassle other than the really long wait time between their replies.
My subscription ran out 2 days ago and I was hit up $23.15 monthly fee then to continue the Music & Entertainment subscription ($17.99) with US Music Royalty Fee ($3.60) and my state 6% tax ($1.31).
They credited me with a pro-rated amount on the $23.15 I was charged with 2 days ago, which worked out to a $21.66 credit applied to the $99 deal. I essentially was charged $1.49 for the two days of service.
My billing page shows:
Service date: 3/5/23 - 3/5/26
Long Term Plan - Music & Entertainment - 3yrs $99.00
U.S. Music Royalty Fee -$3.60
State Tax -$1.23
Music & Entertainment - 1mo - wActv -$16.83
------------
Total Charge today $77.34
My card shows $105.74 pending ($99 + Sales tax), but that should adjust down $77.34 when the final charge comes through. I suspect my state 6% sales tax ($4.64) may get caught and applied then as well.
I thought they did right by me with minimal hassle, just the waiting was bad. The chat took 55 minutes.
My previous annual deals worked out to $6/month and change per month where this works out to $2.75/month, more than half off my past best deal.
Perhaps the real bonus is not having to call back each year and do the dog and pony show for a better deal for 3 years!
