And, I've been with them for over a decade (but never paying more than $6/month total)
I called and referenced this "3 years for $99" deal, and Was told that I do not qualify and it's only for targeted accounts. I asked what other promotions they had for existing customers, and they came back with seven dollars a month, then five dollars a month- but nothing else. I told him I was looking for a multi-year deal and they said that there were is nothing available for my account but the check back again sometime as special deals are posted sporadically. I have a few weeks until my existing subscription expires so I decided that I was going to keep calling / chatting to see if it was possible to eventually get this deal- and I discovered that it is possible despite what several representatives had told me.
I called the next day and the rep told me that multi-year deals are not offered and that what I'm seeing on the SXM website Is no longer available. The following day I opened a chat and the rep who eventually joined told me that as much as they like to honor the 3 years for $99 deal- it's simply not an active offer to apply to my existing account. I asked if I could close my account and reopen it with this deal, and they said no. They're only offering during this session was the same deal that was currently in place which was the typical and former Best case scenario- of five dollars a month plus taxes and fees.
This morning I opened a chat in an Incognito browser window, because the previous chats were showing up showing that I had previously requested this deal and was told no. The rep asked me if I received this deal in my email ( I answered yes because I did receive it via email, as a Slickdeals alert). I pasted the link to the deal in the chat, and he then asked me if the deal had my specific radio ID number on it, and I replied that I do not know because the offer ended up in my spam folder and it's now gone. He then proceeded to process my request. The total was $119 for three years ( I think it would've been $121, but I had a few dollars of credit in my account since I was renewing early). That works out to $3.38 a month, and I don't have to call these guys for three more years. I paid with a privacy.com credit card so they don't have my credit card number.
So as someone who had called / chatted trying to get this deal maybe five or six times, and sort of made an experiment out of it- I can tell you that it is possible, and I can only conclude that it really kind of depends on the rep that you get. If this deal appeals to you- simply go about asking every day as though you had not asked before, and I think eventually you will find someone who will do it.
I have multiple vehicles but two in particular that I wanted to add this deal to: a 2015 and then a 2016. I called twice and was shot down both times. but I noticed this deal seemed to be targeted at 2015 and older vehicles.
So I then a few days later opened a chat on the SiriusXM website. I chose the cancel option and got to a person. I asked for the 2015 and that I wanted to 3yr for $99 deal. They asked for a screenshot of the offer so I went to the landing page at the beginning of this thread and pulled a screenshot as that page is still up and working.
Took a few minutes and a chat with their manager and they came back and offered the deal - 3yrs of Music and Entertainment for $99 - $120.19 after taxes and fees. I then said, great, please add that same promo to both the 2015 and the 2016.... I was then informed that my 2016 didn't qualify and they also tried to say that only one radio per account was eligible.
I'm simply stated that I wanted the promo on both radios or I'd just proceed to let the current sub expire at the end of the current term (both expires in two weeks and were currently on the 6mo for $60 promo).
Then they went back and talked to supervisor again.. took several minutes this time but they finally came back and agreed to apply the promo to both of them.
So bottom line is the promo appears to be targetd at 2015 and older cars.. so if you are trying to get it and you have an older car, start the conversation with getting the promo on that one. then once they agree to it, then drop the bomb that you want the newer car too. And don't be afraid to play CSR roulette and simply try again and again until you get it.
Note that I also have a 2021 and 2022 vehicle that are both still on the trial promos - I did not try to include them as I have no expectation that I would get it on radios that new but I will try again once they near the end of their trials. Hopefully since I already have the 3yr promo active one two of my radios, they will be more likely to add it to the newer ones.

I got this plan on my daughter's 2020 VW in November 2022. SXM originally told me on chat that the car was too new, offer no longer valid etc. I said "Ok forget it then." They contacted me a day later and gave me the deal.
I bought a 2011 Nissan LEAF and had the three month free trial in it. I tried to do this deal after the trial ended at the end of June and no joy. I figured that I need to let it run w/o SXM for a few weeks.
Well tonight I clicked on the 3yr link for $99, went through the sign-up that was correct...3 years for $99 and then it offered me 2 more years for $25 per year for a total of five years. All in for 5 years for $149 plus $31 in royalty fees...works out to $3 a month. I'm good with that! This is the 2nd vehicle that I have done this with. Stick with it folks, you'll get it if you keep trying!
