Someone tell me how many years I can expect to get out of this thing? Should I wait for something more future proof? This can play most games at 1440p 60fps right? I know nothing.

if you are worried about 1440p then you should probably get a desktop

what does "most games": mean, most demanding AAA games probably will still be playable at high 1440p for a few years only because of DLSS but once harder titles come the 6GB of VRAM will make you lower the settings

There's no such thing as "future proof" with technology. Especially with laptops.

The problem with gaming laptops is they aren't really future proof. You can't really add and remove components like a desktop/tower. The most you MIGHT be able to add is ram and a hard drive (6 gigs ram isn't going to cut it, you're better off with at least 16 gigs, better at 32, but you're usually paying a premium on Laptop ram sticks.)

512 gig drive is likely going to fill up fast with games, COD itself taking up around 130 gigs. Not sure if this is an SSD or an HDD (Likely a HDD), So you'd want to get an SSD to swap it out with (Samsung Evo 870 is what I got) with at least 1 TB space. If it has 2 hard drive Bays, that's better.

Space runs out fast if you're playing lots of different games with friends, and you typically want to keep them installed.

Desktops you can upgrade everything over time. Stationary, sure, but it's worth it for more capabilities and parts you can add on.
damn it's like you guys live in 2006...

it has 2 m.2 slots, 2 RAM slots and a wifi cards slot, getting anything with an HDD is practically impossible now
all you have to do is flip it, take the backplate off and change add more

and WTF was that about 6gb of RAM? that's the VRAM.... and no, 32gb is still overkill for anything gaming related

please refrain from giving terrible advice next time

Am I the only one bothered by the 6GB RAM?

Seems like a great deal. Are Acer laptops any good? I feel like Acer used to be a cheap brand.
