I have this laptop, got it from Micro Center about 6 months ago for $899 brand new.

It's a beast, but be aware the screen is TERRIBLE, 144hz is a lie and it suffers from some of the worst ghosting I've ever encountered on a modern LCD.

There's a model with a 1440p screen and another with a 300hz 1080p, both are well reviewed and I'm planning on trying to find of of those screens and swapping it in, because gaming on this 144hz screen is just terrible.

damn it's like you guys live in 2006...

it has 2 m.2 slots, 2 RAM slots and a wifi cards slot, getting anything with an HDD is practically impossible now
all you have to do is flip it, take the backplate off and change add more

and WTF was that about 6gb of RAM? that's the VRAM.... and no, 32gb is still overkill for anything gaming related

please refrain from giving terrible advice next time

An 8GB SODIMM of Crucial DDR4 3200 is only $23 right now on Amazon, taking the price to $762. Not too shabby for a portable gaming rig that should go at least 5 years with DLSS and FSR.

Can you elaborate why you think this? Usually the only laptops costing under 500 on BF are rocking a video card ending in xx50 or lower. Rarely see a new xx60 under 700 or 600 if at all.

True, I have five Acer laptop, so I can say u these things suck. Build quality zero, horrible keyboard and keypad, screen are trash. And I have 3 touch screen laptop and one of them leak the glue between the screen. And all Acer laptop that I have starts to fail after 1-2 years web camera doesn't work and Bluetooth too . These are trash in the finest no wonder they always get me to buy them for their cheap price even though I know it's garbage X-( ( I hate my job {low pay and I have student loan } but Acer is the thing that fits my budget it's like arranged marriage 🥲)

My Acer Predator Helios 300 from 2019 is as good as the day I bought it. i7, 16gb 3060ti so it's not even close to antiquated compared to what shows up here. So I'd say Acers are pretty decent.

With the glut of pre-builts after COVID it's possible that something similar with an RTX 3060 could hit $600-650 and maybe lower for BF limited stock Doorbusters. However, most deals will likely be on the over-produced gaming laptops with the GTX 1650. Those I'll bet you see for crazy prices to dispose of inventory. Laptops using DDR5 are still new and aren't posed for drastic cuts, just reasonable sales.
