screen is bright for 300 nits, not sure what type of voodoo is going on.

ryzen version stays cool, its fast as expected, keyboard is top tier. materials feel very nice. no issues, should be great for a work portable.

Lots of Mac users actually employ Thunderbolt to do video editing / processing on extremely high resolution monitors. In order to properly edit 4K video, you require at least 5K-6K of monitor, if not 8K.

Apple doesn't offer USB-C monitors for a reason. They license Thunderbolt for a reason. Use the USB-C ports "for your accessories".
Marketing. These functions you speak of are all usb specs.

How is battery life assuming 50% brightness and mostly web surfing, 6, 8, 10 hours?

So the keyboard has a good amount of travel, a joy to type on?
