Definitely fake msrp. Granted I bought this pre covid but I can't imagine it being $80+, ever, anywhere. $44 at Home Depot now I believe. .

You are thinking about TS4000, which does get discounted below $40 regularly. But this TS8000 module is rarely at this price.

Think regular price for this model is ~$60 these days.
Also, current price at Home Depot for TS8000 is $58.99, not $44. TS4000 is what you were looking at.
TS8000 has knob to control the gas flow.

I think $40 is as low as these go for the TS8000. I have the TS4000 that I think I got for $20 on a deal. For the pro's the TS8000 is the only way to go. For the amateur hour the TS4000 does the job. Those little propane tanks were around $3 @ home depot. Now they are $6, that's just crazy but for using the Bernzomatic torch, they last a long time.

I got tired of not being able to find a lighter around the house. I bought one of these and it's much easier not to lose. I generally use it for starting fires outside. No more messing with lighters etc burning your finger.
