The 14" LG Gram is HALF A POUND lighter than the MacBook Air despite the fact that it has a larger monitor. The 15" LG Gram still weighs less. I understand that snobs merely disregard facts.

This is the Evo platform, which is a standard developed by Intel in order to meet or exceed Apple manufacturing standards. While I have a disdain for Apple because they charge a premium so that the Starbucks crowd could let everyone else in the club that they aren't poor like the people who get their coffee at McDonalds or a gas station. Apple created this walled garden and know that their customers are so stupid that they will buy a phone that uses a proprietary charging cable.

But I do concede that Apple has high manufacturing standards despite the fact that they manipulate people into buying PCs based on fashion alone. This LG Gram *exceeds* the Apple manufacturing / design standard.

The new LG Gram Evo models have a magnesium chassis. The MacBook Air does not. The LG can be configured with 32GB or RAM. The Apple can only be configured with 24GB. The comparable 32GB/1TB LG is $1000 less than a comparably priced Apple product which weighs more and has less memory. The only thing better on the Apple is the monitor.

I understand that a lot of Apple snobs would rather tell everyone that non Apple products "suck". But please don't go through life wasting everyone's' time. Provide facts or just move on with your life.

I've been using an LG gram for work over the last year and at first, it was hard to justify the price. But after comparing it to the average price of a MacBook, I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

The 14 in at 2.2 lbs is superlight. It feels a bit flimsy as the keyboard deck and body panels flex a little. But it is super light.

Really want a 32GB deal now that RAM isn't upgradeable.

These would go from good to amazing if they had Ryzen CPUs.

The fact is that most people are sheep in most aspects of life and would outsource their decision making to influencers. We all do it to varying degrees.

That being said, Apple has rock solid reliability and support. If you are willing to pay the premium to avoid researching computers, that's their own call.

I'm really really in a decision of choosing the LG Gram 14" vs Samsung Book2 Pro 13.3". Since the LG Gram is top notch, does anyone here own the Samsung Book2 Pro that can share your experience, especially battery life?

I have the GBP1 13.3" but I've played with the GBP2. If it were me, I'd go for the gram. I prefer the 16:10 and the webcam works better on the Gram. The GBP1 webcam leaves a lot to be desired and I don't think the GBP2 is a huge improvement

Over the past several years my wife had two Samsung 9 flagship laptops. Both keyboards failed within 3 years. She has two LG Grams (work, personal) and no issues in past 3 years. I'm buying one when my laptop becomes obsolete.
