I'm getting between 250-350Mbps consistently which is what others report as well. I've since wired up all 4x of my 4K FireTV/Max sticks and they work flawlessly for streaming 4K content from apps like Amazon Prime and Netflix, but also local content like Plex that uses 50-100Mbps, depending on quality of the content. No lag and easily worth the $15-20 per device to get them wired.
So TLDR: get USB Gigabit ethernet adapter, get OTG cable that allows USB connection and supplies power/data to Fire TV stick, connect and profit.
