Be weary of using the Target Red Card as you don't earn 5% reward on Target Gift Cards.

My $200 gift card purchased from Christmas deal suddenly became $1 in march. Target gift card support says it is geniune in store transaction made 1200 miles away from my place. My account is not compromised and i never went to that city. I was told that there is no fraud protection on these gift cards

This is more like 5% off, because using the Redcard gives you 5% off already.

I'd rather use discover Cashback but I'm concerned about it posting in time. Guess I'll wait and use Chase. Can anyone confirm that expires on oct 1st means we can still purchase tomorrow?

Later when using the gift card, you won't be able to use your red card for the 5% savings so really this is just 5% savings. But it's something lol

Yeah, same problem at alot of places, but at least if you have a redcard or maybe even just a target.com account you can save the gift card to your account to alleviate any issues.

Just wanted to add that you have to make this purchase in a single transaction but you can do this buy buying multiple cards of various styles and denominations as long as you checkout in one transaction.

Great for $5 and $10 and $20 giftcards for teachers, coworkers, teens. Attach it to a favorite consumable/cookie/candy and you have nice thoughtful quick gift.
