Anyone recall from last time if there was a restriction for NYC, as can often be the case?

Just noticed that there's a new Taco Bell literally on my wife's block at work First x E68th.

(FWIW last time that I was in Times Square, I pulled up the app and there were no upcharges on the value menu, considering it's right there at the crossroads of the world. I guess they realize that they have to compete with 99c Pizza Express next block down)

no restrictions last go around in NYC, regardless if each store has different pricing . . since i walk by at least 1 or 2 locations most days, i probably placed close to 50 orders during those two months :|

Edit: if you live in a city environment and a taco bell is within walking distance, this is arguably the best deal in fast food maybe ever

Available exclusively on the Taco Bell app for Rewards members, each $10 Taco Lover's Pass allows fans to redeem one of seven signature tacos a day for 30 consecutive days all for 10 bucks.

Through the pass, fans can redeem any one of the brand's classics including the Crunchy Taco, Crunchy Taco Supreme, Soft Taco, Soft Taco Supreme, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Doritos Locos Tacos and the Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme.

To unlock the daily taco tastings, Rewards Members can simply purchase the Taco Lover's Pass via the app on October 4, 2022. After buying the pass, a hidden category will unlock on the app menu, allowing fans to choose a taco and redeem in-restaurant for 30 days.

Just be aware that the Taco Lover's Pass will be available to purchase for one day only on October 4, 2022 – aka National Taco Day.

I wouldn't trust fast food places if I was vegetarian.
I had this even longer, more detailed reply written about the nuances of eating in restaurants and fast food places when you're a vegetarian or vegan, but I figured no one wanted to read a wall of text (yet I still managed to write one). 😆

The bottom line is that Taco Bell is probably the most vegetarian and vegan friendly large fast food chain and they are extremely transparent about the ingredients in all of their menu items, including all of their sauces. They even have a section of their menu which is certified vegetarian by the American Vegetarian Association.

It's unusually easy to make almost any menu item vegetarian or vegan by swapping or omitting an ingredient or two. We get CHOICES! Lots of them! And PROTEIN! And more than just a side salad or some steamed vegetables! Frankly, it's glorious. 🙌😆

While every vegetarian or vegan has a different comfort level as far as how their food is prepared, the only way to be 100% sure that your food will never contain any animal products whatsoever is to grow and prepare your own food, which is only possible if you live in a warm climate year-round, have the land and knowledge to grow sufficient amounts of food, and are physically capable of doing so. Even all but the strictest of vegans (who won't even eat foods like broccoli because of how they are generally pollinated) believe in avoiding animal products to the extent that it is *practicable*.

I'm the strictest vegetarian I know, in that I adopt many vegan "rules", such as not eating insect ingredients or gelatin, and even I'm 100% comfortable eating at Taco Bell. Occasionally, I'll receive my order prepared with meat instead of beans, but I'm used to checking my food before I leave and it's easy to instantly tell if it's been made wrong and get it corrected. When you almost always have to modify the ingredients in your order, you get used to checking your food every time and it just becomes part of your routine when you get take out.

There are very few fast food places that I can even eat at and very few menu items I can even eat at any of those places (let alone non-side dishes), which is why Taco Bell is such a favorite for vegans and vegetarians. It's crazy, what's in some menu items. I mean, McDonald's puts meat in their fries. Who would expect that!?

The terms state that the 30 days start on the day of pass purchase.

Can you redeem other free rewards items and get the daily taco in the same order?

Combining this with my free 2 month Panera Sip club subscription from yesterday seems slick since they are very close to each other
Hopefully planet fitness has their 1 year deal for $99 in December 😂

I wish Smashburger brought back the burger pass. I missed out that one year.

You would think that Taco Bell in Times Square would be more expensive than anywhere else but it's the cheapest in the city! The Taco Bells in the Bronx are practically double the price!

.

I've always been amused that my local Planet Fitness shares the parking lot with a stand-aloneTaco Bell and a Panda Express...

must be some kind of conspiracy. LMAO

what's worse, there's also a Massage Envy half a mile away.. and it's between a Korean BBQ restaurant and a Korean grocery store. (hint, hint)

that's if you can find a taco bell with enough employees to be open 30 days in a row.

In terms of value, which of the available tacos gives you the best bang for the buck? I'd guess it's the Doritos Supreme? I pass by a taco bell on my way home from work and I go to the office 2x a week so this would be a good deal for me.

ALL INCLUDED WITH YOUR TACO LOVER'S PASS
• Crunchy Taco
• Crunchy Taco Supreme®
• Soft Taco
• Soft Taco Supreme®
• Doritos® Locos Tacos
• Doritos® Locos Tacos Supreme
• Spicy Potato Soft Taco

Could I purchase it and not redeem for say, 5 months?

I'm pretty sure it says you have 30 days to redeem and use it up from the start date of 10/4.

I knew someone would drop this comment. Get beans instead of meat if you have a sensitive constitution. You can make this substitution on any menu item for free. That's what I do and I have literally never had this problem.
Unfortunately, that is not always going to work. We always eat vegetarian at taco bell and had a major food poisoning episode after eating their potato soft taco and/or bean burrito. Their quality, albeit was never the best, has gotten to some seriously dangerous levels. We just eat at chipotle now.
