This is the only B+ on Crinable's list that is affordable right now.

I believe the point of the comment was that these are not $150 earphones. The price history for this year on Amazon ranges from $70 to $100. $50 is a great price for them because it's still almost a 30% discount over the lowest price they've been on Amazon.

Also, there are many reviews commenting on the poor quality cable. It is at least detachable though, which means it can be replaced.

I've had a pair of Etymonic for over 10 years. Prize at a trade show raffle. I love them.

I would say...kinda. if you're looking for like a solid noise reduction for gigs, the flapper gills style earplugs that swimmers use that you get in CVS/Walgreens work wonders. If you're willing to spend a bit more, Happy Ears is a solid option (I think they're a Swedish company but they do ship to the US)

wish i could figure this out. i have a pair of these myself that i use more than anything else because of the built in mic, but i know there must be better out there. i love the triple flange personally, so it makes me curious if these are a worth while buy despite no mic.

The ER3SE are better than HF3 by far. Much more high resolution and detailed sound with better treble extension. The ERS3SE are only second to the most premium ERS4SR bc they aren't tuned to match the frequency spectrum to 1dB difference in the left/right drivers. Which isn't something that dramatically affects the sound anyway.

Wow. I really liked my HF3 which unfortunately was broken years ago. Very tempting. At the same time, ER3SE is B+ while AirPods Pro is B- in Crinkle's list.

It depends on your own preference. Etymotic is known to be very lean on bass but have a very neutral, almost clinically detailed sound. Airpods will have more bass punch and a wider soundstage, but will lack the clarity and instrument separation of ER3.

I remembered my HF3 has way more details and clarity than my ultimate ears triple fi. Actually I think I still have my Etymotic ER6i which sounds similar to HF3.
