OLD: 4k chromecast /w google tv
NEW: 1080p chromecast /w google tv
AFAIK all other chromecast models are just for casting, only the two listed above have a smart tv OS.

I would have written This is the "new" one that is worse than the old one.
The phrase "that's normally $30 and on sale for $20" is describing the old one when he meant it to describe the "new" one.
Anyway, it is all squared away and I have the better version.
If you REALLY wanted to get technical, he's not (right) wrong. The Chromecast (HD) has a a bit more storage free than the 4k one which gives it room for updates. So technically, he's right (wrong) that it's worse but at the same time, it's also better.
