All in all, if you are open to experiment, go for them, but if you have doubts, its okay to pass on these till you can audition in person/have the right amplification.

I personally have a pair or the Def tech full range towers that have the built in subs. Plus 3 Def tech full range bookshelves (solid 30hz dB level) for my center and two front wides. And 2 Def tech speakers I have for my surround (same woofer size and front wides/center, and matching tweeters). Plus 2 Def tech atmos speakers that attach to the front full range speakers.
As I'm a nice neighbor, I haven't quite used my outlaw audio subwoofer. Even though I snagged a subdude and 4 rubber hemispheres (each to reduce vibration like 95%).
Everything is also drive by a Denon x-6200W so I have a nice sound stage imo.
That being said - I still think these could be audiophile level speakers for the right situation. Pair these in a nice stereo setting for a great sound.
That's why i traded them for LS50 wireless. Highly advise to audition wireless version. KEF ultimately nailed SQ with LF: Class D and HF: Class AB amplification. But at the same time KEF fail at their app for wireless part. It does sux big time.
Yes you need Facebook/Meta to use them…
Equally good dac and amplifier is just as important. Play lossless files instead of mp3. Setup will only be as good as the worst part of the chain

In any case, the Meta is where I'd start from if I wanted to build a very strong Hi-Fi system. Just make sure you research about proper amplification.
Depends on room size. They sound amazingly clean but they can't play loud enough for a large room full of people.
