Well the pixel 6a is plauged with issues, heat and incoming calls going to voicemail.

I'm surprised about these drastic price drop as well, google is either desperately wanting to compete against the Samsung A53 pricing and/or there is some deeper issue.

Have not seen this with last years pixel 5a model so who knows.

Pixel 7 is releasing in a few days so not surprising to see price drop and it is not an easy task to pull users away from established product lines (Apple and Samsung), so Google needs to be aggressive to chip away. I haven't had any calls go straight to voicemail. That could be cell provider/signal related issue. Mine connects to LTE and 5g sub6 with great speed and good signal. I have US mobile prepaid on Verizon network. No issues. Yes, the phone can get a little warm at times but all phones that I have had (Apple and Android) get warm at times with longer than typical use. Yes, software is always a factor in heat, bugs, etc. Pure android OS is my preference and really like and actually use the Google pixel specific feature. It all depends on what you value most in a phone. Pixel 6a provides the perfect balance for my intended use. Not too big or small, got it for incredible price at launch, OS and features, Tensor will help it maintain performance for several years, and good OS and software support for next several years.

True could be a provider issues or Google, I've contacted both and they are just pointing fingers at each other. I honestly think it's a combination of both but more on the provider side.

Thinking about switching providers.

I know some people don't have issues, but I can only share my experience. I traded my P4a for the P6a since the battery was getting worse and they offered such a good trade in deal. I really liked my P4a and had no real issues with it. My P6a was great for the first month or so. Then suddenly I started getting cellular connection drop outs constantly. Sometimes turning on airplane mode fixed it, sometimes I had to restart to fix it and sometimes nothing would work and I would just be without connection all while my partner's P3, both on T-Mobile, would be totally fine right next to me so it wasn't a T-Mobile issue. And sometimes it would say I had cell signal I really didn't and apps would say no internet.

I tried changing some settings - disabled 5G and turned off adaptive connectivity - but I'd still lose signal. I reached out to support and of course none of their supposed fixes solved the issue including a factory reset. I sent it in for warranty repair, but I'm convinced that wouldn't fix it since it's faulty hardware. I bought an S22 refurb and it's been amazing. Absolutely zero connectivity issues. I loved my P4a, but I've been completely soured on the Pixel, so I sold it.. Even though I didn't love the design of the P6a, I probably would have continued to buy Pixels, but I'm pretty sure I'll never buy one again due to this experience. I did keep the buds and do like them though Smilie

Oh and it did overheat so bad I got a warning on the phone twice. Never had that happen to me with any other phone.

I would avoid the Pixel 6 series.

Isn't the Pixel 6 line defective or plagued with hardware issues? Why bother rolling the dice on whether you get a lemon? I'd rather buy some A53 or spend a couple hundred more on something that I know will work.

Android 13 makes this phone better, but the phone still has issues with the biggest ones being various connectivity issues and battery life issues. I've noticed my battery life getting worse lately and not sure why. The fingerprint sensor is a step backwards too.

Not sure I would buy one at this price. It's OK for what I paid - full price with free ear buds minus $300 trade-in.

Yup staying away from pixel lineup for now at least. Thinking about getting a different phone like Samsung a53. Really disappointed in Google. How did you sell the 6a?

Fingerprint is slow and alot of times you have to use pin code instead. I have 2 of these for $150 each after trading in my 4a and samsung s10

I bought an "Excellent Condition Refurbished" S22 on Amazon For around $435 and it's been amazing. I was a little worried about buying a refurb from a no name seller, but it looked brand new. I see it's only $390 now. I know S23 probably isn't too far away, but I would say that's a better deal than a $350 P6a. https://smile.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-...B0B2X796SX

Swappa. I just priced it lower than anyone else and it sold in a couple days. I wasn't too worried about getting maximum money. I just wanted to be done with it.
