Be warned from the 12 line on avoid the leather cases at all cost. You'll be lucky to get 6 months out of them and they're now trash. The 11 line and previous like the one you have are stellar and last a long long time. Apple went cheap and switched something up and they're beyond awful now.

Agreed 100%. I have the apple leather case on my iPhone 13 and it looks horrible. They are supposed to get a nice patina with age but no longer, peeling all over and discolored. A real letdown.

I was debating for a long time between the Apple Silicon vs Otterbox symmetry for my new iPhone 14 pro max. Ended up with the Otterbox for couple reasons, but mainly was durability and slightly better protection around corners and camera. I have to say Otterbox symmetry has improved their form factors too compared to my older Otterbox symmetry cases for iPhone XS Max. With that being said, I still had a hard time paying $50 for that damn case.

Kept getting an error when using safari to make the purchase. Switched to chrome and had no issue.

The quality of Apple cases has gone downhill over the past couple of years. Most online reviews are showing that the cases last a couple of months at most before breaking down. I've seen friends who had their leather cases for a few weeks and the leather was already peeling off. I miss the days when Apple's leather case for iPhone X lasted a couple of years, and even looked better than new after a year of use.

What about the iPhone SE (2020) case on sale here? Do you know if that's the same quality as my iPhone 8 case or is that one of the new crappy ones?

Finally got it to work. Wouldn't take ApplePay or PayPal or my cards from auto fill from any browser. Finally I went hunting for my physical card, manually entered the exact same info that was autofilled and it went through. Got a leather case and leather MagSafe wallet both 50% off. Slick to me even with Verizon's annoying site. Thanks OP!

Was able to get BestBuy to price match the iPhone 13 leather case. Would avoid ordering from Verizon if there's a chance you'll ned to return something. Have had to return two different accessories from Verizon, and both times they "forgot" to send the refund even after several weeks. Took multiple phone calls with hour+ hold times and 3 months to finally get the refund. YMMV, but Verizon has been a really shady company for stuff like this anytime I've dealt with them

I actually have that same phone but only have the silicone battery case that's technically for the iPhone 7 and I have the silicone regular case and both have held up well the year I used the phone. I still have it but don't use it currently. I never bought the leather case for that one so can't comment on that.
