All canning jars should be wide mouthed. Easier to get your biscuit grabber in there to clean them.
Also, they should all be square and stack-able to maximize shelf space.

Either this is the normal price, or it was on sale for the same price on September 9th.

I agree on the wide mouth. These jars are a little square-ish and any more would be some fragile glass corners.

To be fair, regular mouth jars are better for pouring into smaller containers (drinkware).
I keep these around for lemonade concentrate.

not sure what you mean by "stackable". Like you want one jar to nest inside another? Lying on their sides?

if you put a layer of jars and then hardboard (or whatever you have around) then you can treat it like a 2nd/3rd/4th shelf. Yes, it would suck to get the bottom ones out, but that is the situation with any stacking.

I'm only a regular mouth fan for sauces and juice. Large mouth is great for everything else.

Not a great price, but I don't think this is the normal price. I bought some a couple months ago to make pickled okra and I think they were around $13. I grabbed three cases of these. Glad to get them at $9 a case.

Though square canning jars would fit better on the shelf, they would be weaker due to the corners. For cleaning, a round headed toilet brush (unused of course) works great on regular and wide mouth jars.

Stacking is not a good idea for canning jars. Best to remove the rings and store in one layer. That way you know when you have a seal failure. That is of course if you are actually using the jars for canning. If you are just using for storage, stack as high as you want.
