Definitely sure it's gonna be back on BF if not sooner.
Not sure if a $100 jump is justified for the better processor.

You can have the best of both worlds.
Being able to use it as a desktop at home with an RTX 3080 while at least having an RTX 3050 to take with me on the go is pretty enticing.
And I'd rather not build a second machine and also have to pay ITX tax to make it portable
As for portability, I would try to catch a 14" Zephyrus on sale for $999 at Best Buy. I would say if you're going to be laptop gaming, expect to stay plugged in also. This is not a good portable laptop. The default battery is only a 3 cell, and with gaming laptops usually the gpu operating is best when laptop is plugged in.
Just make sure to upgrade to at least 16GB RAM.
A 3050 and 3060 are night and day when plugged in, but it's a narrower gap on battery (whether it be throttling or battery longevity).
But if you're just going to leave your laptop plugged in all the time, why not get a desktop?

But definitely upgrading to 16GB RAM was mandatory for performance.
