The xdt13 served me well for years, but I'd highly recommend the xdt16 it was next level (I'm yet to try the XDT19 but ive seen them for around $100-$120 lately.)
Personally I'm going to the TD002G 40v in Olive (That olive is badass looking) but I'm waiting until the new year to see if the TD003G arrives.
In the past, I've said I'd never get into the 40v Makita lineup (because the palm router wasn't changed in any way, which is ridiculous, and im hearing bad things on other tools in the 40v lineup)... but I got to try the air duster, and immediately bought it! That tool alone is worth the $150 !!! It's unreal!
Come the holidays, I'll be on high alert for certain tools with battery/charger deals... I'm sure Fasteners Inc will be getting my paycheck again lol.

Spend the money and get the XDT14. I am a commercial cabinet maker/ woodworker and have these in my hands all day. The 14 is by far my favorite for power and weight. The ability to change power is a nice feature, allbeit not a necessity for the casual worker.
If anyone here is thinking about the XDT19, I would steer clear unless you are strictly using square bit heads. It does have some nice features with the index finger power change and ring light, but is entirely overkill for speed. Also, it is extremely light. Sounds good but ends up camming out heads if you aren't paying attention. My .02
Let me be the first to say I and others got this with a 4a batt, bag, and charger from HD for $79 in August. I'll probably use the 3 speed XDT14 for precision work until I get used to the XDT13 trigger.
I purchased XDT13 but it was difficult to control in delicate situations (mostly because of my lack of skills). So I sold it and purchased XDT16 which has speed control feature. I also purchased XST01 and was blown away but it's quality and low noise. So I ended up keeping the XST01 even though it has less power. Sorry for off topic post but I figured it might help someone.
its good if you dont have any other impact driver, if you want something better go for the xdt12 which is in the flagship line of drivers or the most recent in the line the xdt16

I really wanted to get that deal just for battery. Might have just sold the tool for same price and keep the battery for my XDT16. I kicked myself for not doing that.
