Only storage devices of 3kWh or above qualify for the credit, this is only 1kWh - so the panel would be covered, but not the battery.

The battery isn't dead after 3000 cycles, it's just reduced to 80% of original capacity. If you don't do 0 to 100% cycles but keep it to 10-80 for example it'll last much longer. Weird how you don't do the calculation of how much it takes to get your money back on a gas generator.

Not a simple comparison. Gas generators consume significant fuel even if the load is low. Small generators with 1 gallon capacity will consume a full tank in 8 hours even if you have no load on it. If you're using it for a refrigerator which uses less than 10 watts when the compressor is off but draws a few hundred watts to cool down at 1-2 hour intervals, your fuel efficiency per kWh will be terrible with all the idling losses.

Amazing info on the tax credit ! Thank you. It came to $1160 for me with a $50 coupon (plus $72 tax ) and 5% Amazon credit card credit brings it to $1102. Assuming the tax credit works and that the sales tax portion of the price is included in the calculation of the credit as appears to be the case — that would mean a $320 credit ( not just a deduction but a credit ) bringing the total to $720 for both items.

No, although Ecoflow has add-on batteries to add 1 or 2kWhr but you would need the Delta Pro line to double wattage output and provide 240V.

I'd love to have one of these for camping. It would be great if I could have it save on my power bill when I'm not actively using it too. What would be perfect is if I could plug my computer into it and toss a couple solar panels on my roof. Anyone know if there a setting/mode where I could leave the delta 2 plugged into a wall outlet and it only draws power if the battery is low at night?

Great deal, I'll hang the panels on my shed and use it as a portable solution for a workshop.

It seems to me that it actually says they have expanded the allowance to include those, not that they are the minimum requirement.

The solar+storage equipment expenses included in the ITC have expanded. Now, energy storage devices that have a capacity rating of 3 kilowatt hours or greater are included. This includes stand-alone storage, but here's why you should pair it with solar.

depends what breaks but you you can reuse the cells which is usually the most expensive part. My last ecoflow crapped seemed like BMS issue but costco took it back. Oherwise I would have just got after market bms and rigged it myself may not fit back into original case.

Interesting, so with a 240V theoretically you could level 2 charge your EV vehicle....? Embarrassment

Is this hackable by returning the panel ? Rather get a larger non folding panel for less.

3000 cycles x .15 per kWh = $450. So you will never get your money back of this unit.

1 kWh isn't going to last long compared to a generator. Assuming a gas powered generator operates at 30% efficiency, 1 gallon of gas produces about 11kwh of energy.

Might be useful for a solar van to run some lights and a mini fridge etc, but this is a lot of money to put out for some Chinese Amazon company.

Your 5 year warranty is going to last until Amazons holiday return window, which is Jan 31, 2023.

...for about 2 miles of range over an hour of charging (or 4 miles of range if you were able to use two batteries together to get 240v output over an hour of charging) before the batteries would be dead... (assuming you have a Tesla getting 3-4miles/kwh and the battery can transfer 80% of the stored energy into your car battery after DC->AC->DC conversion losses)

And that wouldn't really be level 2 charging, which appears to require 240v 40amp circuit (6.2 to 19.2 kW, with most chargers around 7.6 kW) according to https://evocharge.com/resources/t...-chargers/

Would love to know this as well or another Solar generator that does this.

Different tools for different jobs. Are you going to run a gas generator to power a 12v fridge through the night on the next camp trip? Or run a 2k inverter genny for a cpap during an outage? You can, but much rather have silent power
