I did the S22 Google fi promo, and couple of suggestions/warnings.

1. 120 days starts from 1st bill date, not order date and not phone activation date. 1st bill date will be 2 days after phone activation.

2. It's better to start a 5th month bill, wait 2 days and then cancel/ port out. It will be a prorated bill anyway.

3. $20 is the min plan plus about $5 in various taxes.

Incorrect. You can immediately remove the Google Fi SIM and put another SIM in the Fold 4. You just can't put the Google Fi SIM into another phone or they will charge back. So it's unlocked and can be used asap with any carrier you wish. Google SIM just goes in drawer to be safe.

seriously. can I activate the sim and phone for 2 days?
and take out the sim, and use z fold 4 for other carrier?

I thought the sim has to stay with phone for 4 months to qualify the 1000 off

Yes, but if you see the s22 thread, someone made a post about the counter first starting from phone activation date, and then somewhere in the middle, it got changed from 1st bill date. It happened to me too. It's not worth the risk, especially with Google Fi support and promo. Hence, start the 5th month and then cancel just to be sure.

Correct me if I'm wrong but your Google Voice (GV) number is completely independent of any carrier. If you port in another carrier's number to Google Fi (which is also independent of GV) you should have no problem having your GV number linked to that ported Google Fi number. Example: I have my GV number linked to my Verizon mobile number and my Ooma VoIP home phone number and still access full GV services on both.
