Then I turn on the gas without ignition until I can smell the gas at 10 feet away. It does nothing at all.Do you think we can count on it to save our lives?"
Oh buddy, the gas has to be burning to make CO
A smallish amount of radon in a bedroom downstairs basically causes the same cancers as heavy smoking. And testing is free!

However, looking on amazon reviews there are several that people have had melt or catch fire. Not very good for a device to detect something like that. Afraid I am gonna have to pass even though it is a good price (might be a reason why)

So far they seem to be working fine... if fine is not going off at all. Hopefully that is a good sign.
At this price I may get a couple more for the kid's bedrooms. Never hurts to have as quick of notification as possible if needed.
