This is the model with the jelly scrolling complaint by some people. I've held off buying one due to that.

I looked like a crazy person at my local Apple store scrolling up and down on the Mini they had on display. At the time, I only heard about the issue on paper and hadn't watched any videos about it. In my mind I thought it was a super dealbreaker the internet was telling me (to be fair, I was also looking up to see if it is a dealbreaker). Not knowing what I was looking for, I couldn't tell anything was wrong.

I just looked up a video of it side by side and then it seems really obvious. But it also seems like a minor thing to me. Day to day use, I have not noticed it on mine, so I guess it doesn't bother me. If you're looking to buy, either try it in the store or try to find a used Mini 5. I still think that's a great iPad (I had an original Mini, and it's the same design).

I appreciate the information! I actually would like to know the amount of usable storage for the reason I need the storage for offline work, not for streaming.

I'm pretty OCD about things and thought the jelly scrolling would bother me.. but I really don't see it unless I'm really trying to (imagine scrolling up and down as fast as possible). Under normal circumstances… scrolling through a page like a normal person… no issue whatsoever. Great device and I would pick the mini over all the other iPads
