- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

edit: went to my desktop browser and now see that if you give it a moment the $200 gc offer comes up after a bit. It also looks like it's $200 off the Pro, and $100 off the not pro - and I'm only seeing "activate today" options. edit edit: there's also activate later at same price.
EDIT: Never mind. I just saw this on their site "If you choose store pickup, you'll bring your trade-in device to the store when your new device is ready for pickup. If you choose shipping, we'll email instructions for shipping your trade-in device to us after your new device is delivered."
