According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

My google pixel 6 pro 128GB trade-in value is $240... Freaking T-Mobile every time screws my deals up.
Okay, used the recommendation from above... Make sure you select T-MOBILE version.. If you say "unlocked" even if you've paid it off and it's not locked to the carrier anymore, it will make it worth less.
I got $545 trade-in value.

If I checkout P7pro through Tmo, my P6 trade in shows $220 value.
I bought the P7pro unlocked and it shows $480 ($230value+$250 promotional value) + $200 BB giftcard
Upgrade from P6 to p7pro cost about $300
Seems the camera is the same, battery is smaller, one more year worth of updates, hopefully less bugs than Pixel 6.
