According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

We are never going to agree on this stuff. I think Samsung is the worst phone manufacturer anyone can buy a flagship from and I discourage anyone from supporting them.
Remember those Pixel experience Galaxy phones running stock Android back in the days? Those were awesome.
The good thing about Samsung is their older flagships can be bought used for so cheap. Like half off 1st year and 1/3 price 2nd year. Also Samsung always give massive discounts for trading in for their new flagships every year. Sometimes it's impossible to pass up.

It's my second phone. Primary is iPhone for work.
But I always loved android cameras. Plus I have a trip coming up and would much prefer a Pixel or a Samsung for photos.
