Trade-in value notes:
- In states CA (please add more), tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo).
- In states NJ, NY, tax is charged on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal).
- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

On the google store - getting a $480 trade in For the Pixel 6 Pro
Best buy $500.
Google is also giving a $200 Google store gift card.
I always buy pixel phones from pixel 1 to 6 from Google store directly.
The one advantage I see is that, they replace it with a new phone under warranty and they don't ask any questions as soon as I mentioned I bought the phone from Google store.
Not, sure will they create issues if it's my purchase from them, I am not saying BB is my authorized seller just wondering.
P1 Google Pixel 3 XL has FOMO (BF), waiting and hoping for a killer deal but worried about falling TIV.
P2 Google Pixel 4A 5G just pre-ordered Pixel 7 256GB here's the thought process and numbers.
Why we chose Google instead of BestBuy
$699 Pixel 7 256GB lemongrass
-4% CB
$325.00 Pixel 4A 5G trade-in
Free 2 year extended warranty [citi.com] via Citi CostCo credit card (yes Costco membership is required)
===================
$346.04 net cost
Will also receive
$100 Google store credit
$69.90 Google store credit from Google One 2TB membership
===================
$169.90 Google GC's which P1 can hopefully redeem during BF, fingers crossed.
What do you all think?
Can't agree more. Although nobody gives a damn shit Samsung kept pushing their own Google app duplicates for many years that can't be removed.
Not with the entire phone, but a few things.
Fingerprint reader is really meh though after software upgrade to 13 it's improvised a lot still not happy.
Battery life, it's good battery life, but I expect it should last the entire day.
The disconnect from the network.
Also, the way the phone is in the pocket randomly switches off Bluetooth and other apps. Not sure they really messed up, once the phone is locked it shouldn't work by body touch.
Hopefully the P7 resolves these issues.
I usually skip a generation, but I am done with P6 pro.
End of story
