- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

- Had a pre-existing $200 GC I wanted to use, but couldn't use it online for the deal
- Pre-ordered P7 128 lemongrass for my wife straight up (with $100 GC)
- Then on a separate transaction I used my $200 GC to pre-order the P7 128 snow for myself (removing the $100 GC from the cart) w/ a P6 trade-in of $480.
- This SHOULD have left me with a credit of $45.06
- However, I noticed the final checkout credit was listed as $145.06, almost as if they were still crediting me the $100 GC.
So.. not surprised it's hosed up.
