- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

Used S22 ultras are going for as low as $550 on ebay after fees
But you may have seen my report from Texas.... tax is refunded on trade-in value so you end up paying tax only on the price of the phone *AFTER* deducting trade-in discount/value (@ Best Buy in Texas).
Last year same thing with the pixel 6 pro. But it never showed up and was eventually cancelled after about 20 days.

On topic - I've had a love/hate with my P6P. The camera literally is godly. And the software/experience has been perfect, other than the fingerprint reader. It was utterly horrible at first and I considered even returning the phone. I got lazy and just put up with it and I guess over time it got better since I rarely have it fail now. But I really want face unlock dammit. Not sure if upgrading to the 7 is worth it just for that. It needs the Tensor G2 to work?
