According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. 1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

Traded in carrier-locked iPhone Xr from Tracfone (selected Verizon as carrier via online order) and didn't have any issues. I think she punched in the IMEI during trade-in but I didn't want to hover over her to confirm.
Below is my cost situation for P7Pro. Note they refunded tax on the $300 bonus but not the $120 base trade-in value. Also received gift card (no expiration) confirmation via email while walking out the door. Also, via PayPal, they issue a partial refund of the original cost (not cancel w/ new transaction)

Any suggestion on getting the best cash value out of best buy 200 GC ? I am not intending to keep the GC for future purchase.
Also, which apps do you recommend using to transfer your text messages from one phone to another? I don't believe Google has a 1st party app that does it.
