- NJ: When I did an in-store pickup of an online-order, tax was automatically calculated on (price - TIV_promo - TIV_normal). But when I did an in-store purchasing today, tax was calculated on (price - TIV_promo). According to the representative, this is because TIV_normal is processes as a GC and it has to be applied after the checkout, so the tax is charged on that part. Don't know if this is all true to CA or other states.

- I've done in-store trade-ins a few times at Best Buy. They only do a cursory look at the phone, to make sure it matches the color and condition. They don't care if it is carrier locked or is still being financed. -RonaldM

1. Go to the "Order Details" page for your order on bestbuy.com. This page likely says "Shipping Kit on its way" for the trade in status.
2. Open Developer Console in Chrome. Navigate to the "Networks" tab and reload the page.
3. Search for "trade" in the search box.
4. You should see 3 results - the third begins with "2002..." for me. Click on this one.
5. Click on "tradeInStatusInfo" -> "fulfillment" -> "tracking".
You will see the tracking number of the return shipping UPS label. You should also see a "isBoxShipped" field that likely reflects if your trade-in kit has shipped yet.

Dimensions-wise the Pixel 7 Pro fits perfectly into my Pixel 6 Pro case.
The only thing that didn't line up is the side buttons....
If only they kept the side buttons the same, so many people could have reused their pixel 6 pro cases.
Now I have to spend another $20 on a new case
Obviously it's not my fault it won't be there until Nov 2, but has anyone run into this issue and did you still receive the full trade-in value promotional credit upon picking up your phone on previous deals?

After they checked my trade-in pixel 6 pro I immediately received email saying I got $567 refund to offset the payment of $650 for the pixel 7. With the $100 gift card it is a very much even trade.
I don't understand why some people spend time to transfer/backup data in store. Shouldn't this be done before you walk in? Sounds so dumb.
