I ordered online for in store pickup and traded an iPhone XR from total wireless. I selected Verizon since total wireless is using that network. Selected the right color and memory (ignored the model number). I picked up the phone yesterday and gave the XR without any issue. The receipt will show the trade in value (excluding the promo amount) but your order status will adjust accordingly.
How long does it take to get adjusted? Mine has been 3 days and credit card still showing the full charge. No gift card yet either.

Last week, I successfully traded in a refurbished Tracfone iPhone XR that was purchased specifically as a trade-in for this Pixel 7 deal. I did the trade in-store and selected Verizon as the carrier. There were no questions about the trade-in device from the Best Buy rep who processed the trade in. She just gave the phone a look over to make sure there were no damages, then punched in what I assume to be the IMEI numbers. Other than waiting around for an available person to help and their system being slow, I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. It probably would have been faster if she didn't have to start over at a new POS terminal.
damn it... all the reconditioned ones are out of stock both tracfone and straight talk (not even sure this one would work as trade-in)
I do not have a trade-in device and was looking to get the pixel 7 pro, but unless I can bring the out of pocket cost way down it is a no-go for me...

Anyone receive their trade in kit in the mail? I received phone 10/12, and trade in kit says on the way but still nothing. Sent an email to the address listed that says to contact if you haven't received yet, but no response
No. Ordered on the 8th, delivered on the 13th.

I asked Hyla if they can provide a digital prepaid label for me, but they said no. They said kits arrive 7-14 business days after initiating the trade, but if I don't get one within 14 biz days, then contact them again and they'll send another one.

OP here; just adding my latest info...

Pre-ordered Pixel 7 Pro in Snow, 128GB, for in-store pickup on 10/6, expected in-store 10/13.
Was not available on Thu 10/13. Received notification Sat 10/15 that it was ready for pickup.
Picked up and traded in my Pixel 6 Pro with no issues.
The original full charge had shown as Pending from the date of preorder.
I see today (10/17) two finalized charges. The first is the full charge, immediately followed by the refund amount for the trade-in + promotion + portion of sales tax, which matches the Order Details online.

Edit:
Meant to mention; received the $200 GC email less than 10 mins after pickup.

At least you got a response. You got an email reply or spoke to them on phone? If phone can you provide the number?

NJ has oos to order
Northern NJ here, the black P7 and the black or white P7Pro still show as in stock to me.

I wanted the lemongrass, but I'd rather have a black ridiculously cheap flagship phone than none at all, so I pulled the trigger this morning.

yes I know, not worth it for me.
the pixel 7pro is $900 and at $420 TIV and ~$200 out of pocket for trade-in I end up with ~$680 not counting any taxes, so this is not so great an option...

Was the portion of the sales tax refunded from the trade-in amount or the promotion amount, or both? People in the thread have actually reported both AND only one portion.

You also need to count Free $200 Best buy Gift card into the calculation.

When you all the math, you are getting $900 just released phone for $480, this is almost 40% discount. I doubt you'll see this much discount for a while (most likely until Pixel 8 release).

The refunded sales tax portion was on the "coupon/promotional" amount of $250. So, I paid sales tax on the $649. This is in California.

It may be $900 list price for the Pro but Pixel phones do not hold their value like an iPhone. For example, the regular Pixel 7 128gb sells for only $475 or so on Swappa already, and will continue to drop.

Not bashing the Pixel 7 series, just saying the list prices are inflated and the street value is much lower, and will continue to drop like a rock every month.

For those who really want one, it's still a good deal at BB right now, but not smoking hot like a lot of people make it out to be. It is an especially good way to dump an old phone, as some of the TIVs are quite good. But even so, not sure how people buying these to flip are making any money, as the resale prices and demand are low.
