You can get the better version of this for the same price if you look for it
Which is the better version you are referring to? I paid 133 for this a year ago which I thought was a good deal and this thing did great drilling pilot holes for tapcons.
Dch263b is more powerful, while dch273b is the L shape instead of D. With better vibration control. Neither of which can be had for $130. Both msrp at 339. Even facebook marketplace is $200+ for either.
You can find 133b on marketplace for around $150. $100 would be very lucky but it would be sold in minutes.
Just used this for brick and concrete demo with the hammer mode and it was amazing. I was surprised how much more powerful it was than an air hammer. It would take a huge project to justify spending double for a higher end model and even then I'd probably go with an SDS max or electric jackhammer.
For drilling could drill 5/8" holes in concrete 5" deep in 5 seconds without any effort. Way better than a hammer drill. In the future even with small holes in concrete I'll grab this along with the SDS bit instead of using a hammer drill.
Would this replace my hammer drill or is this something I need in addition to the hammer drill? Trying to see if this rotary hammer drill is necessary for 5/32 holes in masonry or installing safety pool fence (5/8 drill bits).
