It's a little bit confusing, but the page you checked are for the current products that have the trade-in promotion. The laptop requirements that qualify for trade-in are more generalized. Please check the link below instead.

It is definitely confusing. Seems like any laptop should qualify but they prefer 2 in 1 types. But it seems like only excluded PCs are desktop. Anyone else have a different read?

Here's what I found. As you said, looks like it's good for laptops, 2 in 1's, convertibles, detachables, and no desktops.

https://costcotradein.com/tradein/en-US/terms

Under this Promotion a 'Trade-In Device', is any device that meets the below criteria in full ("Trade-In Criteria"). For the avoidance of doubt, any devices that only partly meet such criteria shall not be considered a Trade-In Device in any instance.

A laptop (specifically excluding desktops, but including 2 in 1, convertible or detachable devices).
In full working condition, with reasonable wear and tear accepted. The device must power on fully into the applicable operating system and include the relevant power cord.
No older than seven (7) years old, as calculated from the relevant manufacturer ID.

Anyone ever do a Costco trade in? I have a 2 in 1 dell that is about 6 years old , but the cpu was officially released in 2015 but I didn't buy it till late 2016. If I could trade it for $300 I would definitely go for this.

This'll be my first time doing so, and I'll be sending in a 2 in 1 dell as well. Looks like they use the BIOS date.

Not sure how old your Trade-in device is or what processor it has? We have some handy tips to help you find this information below. Simply select your Trade-in device's operating system and follow the steps:
Windows Laptop
If your Trade-in unit is a Windows Laptop, follow these steps:
Press the Windows key on your keyboard
Start typing System
Select System Information.
Here you will see the BIOS date, which shows the age of your laptop, as well as the Processor.
If the Windows key is not available on your keyboard, simply right-click the Windows icon located on the bottom-left corner of your screen using your mouse and choose System

Nice deal for an OLED convertible with high end processor from a top tier brand. Half the price of my MacBook Pro for similar specs.

So I see a lot of complaints on here about the hinge. It makes me wary.

Do you think this would be a reasonable upgrade from a Surface Pro 6? I use it mainly for on the go use of Photoshop, Affinity Publisher, and other general use.

Does anyone know if this has Thunderbolt 4? Can't find a full spec / product page for this anywhere

EDIT: Seems like it does
https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/I...82R70000US

1x USB 3.2 Gen 1
1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Always On)
1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 / Thunderbolt 4 (support data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort 1.4a)
1x HDMI 1.4b
1x Card reader
1x Headphone / microphone combo jack (3.5mm)
1x Power connector

Now I wonder if the screen is 90Hz like the Asus Vivobooks/Zenbooks or higher

The OLED is the best part of this laptop. Once you use it you can't use any other screen

By checking serial number online for mfg date.
Are you sure that's what they do? I have a receipt that shows my laptop was purchased 11/29/2015, so just under 7 years. Mfg date may show its over the 7 years. If I include receipt in my mail-in return I wonder if it would "qualify"
