The advantage of this other unit is that you are only using the filtered water for drinking rather than having all the filtered water go through the main faucet -- where most of the water is probably just used for washing.
That will extend the life of the filters considerably and more than make up for the added cost. The separate drinking water faucet will be placed in the hole for the soap dispenser, which will be swapped out.
I wanted to check with people to see if anyone here on SD has experience with this specific filter.
