Also a good buy (with tubing and stones) if you are making a nutrient mix for your plants or some compost tea. In for a spare (the one I use lives outside may-october and is 7 years old🤯)

These things are so loud in inefficient. Aquarium equipment is not something that people should be looking for the cheapest thing. A failure means death for your fish or water in your home.

Eheim air pumps are $20 more and could be passed down to your children or grandchildren.

The higher end models of this brand are good enough.

Agree, while I always appreciate aquarium deals (thanks OP), I've always found the Tetra pumps to have the worst quality/reliability, and to be the loudest. For years I've been using a Top Fin brand pump (go figure) on my 10 gallon, and it is extremely quiet. I'm also using a generic Chinese pump from Amazon (won't link unless requested via PM, lest anyone think I'm a shill) for my other, larger tanks and it's been my favorite by far. Quiet and reliable and cheap.

The Tetra ones just don't seem to either be designed well, or have good consistency/quality control.

These aren't quiet if you don't mind the humming noise. Good price for what it is.

If there are any homebrewers out there, I've had one of these for a few years now that I use to aerate my wort. Works great, no need to shake or stir the fermentor. Just get a cheap aeration stone, soak it in some star san, then toss it in the wort and let it rip.

these are great pumps. ive been running several for years no problems. they push more air then the recommended tank size id say. air bubbles make a ton of turbulence. as per them being loud, as a long time aquarist i bet i endure alot of things people consider noisy. glances at protein skimmer....
