Horizon Hobby is having a decent sale on a few things. Using code "KICKOFF", which it says right on the page. The best deal's seem to be Arrma Outcasts, but a bunch of Axial stuff too:
Here's the link to the sale - a bunch of other decent prices.

I'm thinking of picking up an Axial SCX10 iii myself - a few options with pretty decent sale price on that page.

I have 5 traxxas cars
The $10 was money well spent to help keep myself from thinking that I want something like this for $500.
I have a bunch of cars but still no 8s. Each time you bump up with one of these cars it still amazes me. First time you see a 3s in real life if you're not familiar with these cars, and it's just - 'Wow!', then you upgrade to a 6s and it's bigger and meaner and "Wow!". Then you see an 8s and you just can't believe these things can rip like that. Videos don't do it justice - no one sees these things for the first time in real life and thinks "oh that's kind of neat"... it's just "Wow!".

If I can pick up a local ~OK condition used Kraton 8S EXB with added RTR spectrum equipment and a few extras, what price is a good value for a used K8S with heavy chassis scrapes from use and a little roughed up from what looks like gravel sandblasting the bottom and arms. Looks like it's been used "aggressively" but looks reasonably priced...$600 OTD, take it or buy new on this?
Have they made any improvements to the diffs, out drives or other weak points, or possibly have a updated design impending? Seems like the K8S is "half baked" from what little I understand about it, needs to go on a diet, while simultaneously beefing up other points or balancing them out a little to alight better with its pedigree of robustness and reliability?
