What's the return policy for opened box and slightly used item? Tried this ipad pro for two days, don't really like it. Can I return it back to walmart?
I believe the answer is yes, with no restocking fee. I returned an opened laptop in summer 2021 and it was a smooth process. The returns clerk isn't making a whole lot of money, so they barely even check what you're returning and whether it's complete. Obviously that would require effort, and I'm not suggesting anyone should abuse their easy returns policy.

I'm holding out for mine in case the 11'' pro model get any improvement which is doubtful but we never know.

No remorse by holding out while having this specific iPad Smilie

Mine is still in the unopened shipping box, waiting for the new product launch tomorrow. Although I like shiny, new baubles, I'm likely to keep the 2021 model. If they take this as an opportunity to raise the price due to inflation, it'll be a no brainer to keep last year's model. The rumors so far is that you'll get an M2 processor, but little else is being refreshed. We'll know soon enough!

Cool. We are on the same boat.

May I ask you what made you get this specific iPad Pro model? Why not the 12.9"?

The m2 iPad pro just debuted this morning. Nothing vastly different than this particular one. no mini OLED display on the 11" pro. and the m2 variant starts at $799.99. Glad I got this deal.

This was an excellent buy vs the new iPad Pro or even the newest-gen iPad (which got a big price increase).

My only regret is not buying two of these iPad pro deals. Hopefully, we'll see this price pop up again around Black Friday.

Yeah in light of today's announcements this deal seems better and better. At this point I'm not even sure you'll be able to get this deal on Black Friday because didn't they just increase the price for this model?

Yeah, the new one doesn't have much to justify paying over this deal. Now I wish I ordered earlier to get the silver one. Has anyone tried to exchange them at Walmart? It seems they have them back in stock now.

Any thoughts if we may see this deal pop up again for the holidays. I was looking to see what apple was doing w/ the normal ipad. Kinda shook the raised the price on it so much, rather spend another $150 for something that is way better.

Retailers will have to clear their current inventory, which should trigger more deals. Walmart probably knew of the announcement and wanted to get ahead of everyone and clear their inventory.

If m2 11 inch 128gb is $799, im sure retailers would give good discount price on m1 version, there's no reason for someone to buy m1 at $799 retail if they can get m2 for same price

I'm coming from the original iPad Pro 9.7", so this is a very nice upgrade for me. The old one still works "well," albeit the performance is a bit disappointing (mainly kneecapped by the 2GB RAM). For the media consumption I do (ebooks and video), the 12.9" screen just isn't all that appealing to me, size wise. If I had seen the $799 deal for the Pro 12.9", I would have thought about it a bit but don't believe my decision would have changed. If I were a "creative pro," then different story.

Based on a relatively mild 2022 update, I'm inclined to open up my 2021 iPad Pro and start enjoying the much improved experience. The other reason is that many people complain iPadOS is holding back the cutting edge hardware, and this is somewhat true. Until they decide to turn iPadOS into a true multi-user, multi-tasking system, the "latest and greatest" is underutilized.

And BTW the new entry-level iPad starting price is ridiculous. I'm shocked they didn't increase the prices of the new iPad Pros. $50 and nobody even blinks.
