"Warranty: 2 Year Limited 3rd Party Warranty"

Sounds like this is being sold without the LG factory warranty...which raises a big red flag in my eyes.

And that is exactly why I will never buy the Samsung OLED no matter how cheap it is. No Dolby Vision is an easy pass for me.
Is Dolby vision really that big of a deal? Please explain.

Lowes currently has exact same price.

No extended warranty though.... Just standard manufacturer warranty and full protection is 250 extra bucks.
Thanks for this! With my Lowes card I got an addtional 5% off so $1,624 shipped.

How? The price on Costco when I look at it is 1499.

Also, woot is pretty shady, better to have Costco. The c2 is only. Marginally better.

I picked went instore to purchase this. Online price on Tuesday was $2300. Was marked down on clearance to 1399.99. I was hoping it would ring up to $899, but it didn't.

I tried a Hisense u8h with Dolby vision support and an s95b without. It trounced the u8h.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

Yeah it's like comparing Trump to KKK and Putin.

Oh wait!

It absolutely is. Any TV without it is already obsolete. Dolby Vision is significantly better than HDR10 (commonly referred to as just HDR) or HDR10+. It has way better contrast than HDR10 and HDR10+ (HDR10+ is what Samsung uses). You're gonna have to do some research to really get all the details, but to give you the gist:

The HDR10+ that Samsung uses is the same thing as regular HDR/HDR10 as far as color and contrast go. They both portray 1.07 billion colors. The only difference is HDR10+ changes the colors and contrast levels dynamically, meaning those things will change with each scene, instead of just being set to one thing for a movie.

Dolby Vision has far better contrast and is capable of portraying 68.7 billion colors. You'll really have to go see the difference yourself, but I've seen Dolby Vision on super cheap TVs and it still looked far better than HDR10/HDR10+.

I apologize if some of that wasn't quite detailed enough, but you'll really just have to look into it, yourself, to get a real understanding of the difference. Dolby Vision is definitely better though. I would never get another TV without it.

Man, prices are coming down on these quick. I remember in 2020 when I scraped a clearout deal on my 65" E9 at $1850 from GT and that was a steal. I'd call this a "buy now, think later" price.

You are right. I'll share my oldie but goodie experience. To borrow something from the video card folks: "HOLD!"

Here are the quotes I got. Big name NATIONAL retailer, prices are new in box with with delivery (the guy actually placed mine right inside my front door). Prices shown are for the unit plus a 5-year (including BURN IN) warranty, free shipping, but tax was added on.

77CX: 2300+400

65CX: 1100+150

48CX: 700+150

As much as I wanted the 77, I went with the 65 as it was plenty good enough for my space.

Also I'm absolutely positive that they still made a profit on the sale, which tells you just how bad the retail markup is. LG is enjoying their monopoly. I'm really glad vizio and philips are entering the oled game and hoping they knock LG down to more reasonable pricing.

So now you know what to shoot for If you know how to work a deal.

(And if anyone thinks this isn't legit, take a close look at my pseudonym. Make fun if you like - I know there will be a lot of jealousy-driven thumbs down and ad hominem attacks - I'll be chuckling as I enjoy my tv.

I'm also not the only one who has enjoyed this pricing).
Imagine settling for 65" if you're in the market for 77". The 77" TV is 71% larger.

Common core math? Screen area is only 41.6% more. Definitely not worth the 116% more overall cost.

The proof is left as an exercise to the reader. But here's a hint: (after - before) / before.

Ah yes, my bad. I was thinking of the 85" displays compared to 65".

BTW, it's very clear what type of person you area. "cOmMoN cOrE mAtH?" "Check out my username!"

Q to anyone who owns this unit. Does it have a picture off mode (but sends audio signal to soundbar)?
