Can't recommend this monitor enough. Just make sure you update it to the latest firmware since it was a big one and has fixed all my issues with the monitor

Can't recommend this monitor enough. Just make sure you update it to the latest firmware since it was a big one and has fixed all my issues with the monitor

What 42 inch version are you referring to?

Also my 48 inch OLED has the pink hue and it technically using a 2nd gen OLED but it doesn't benefit from it unless the firmware supports the higher brightness

Well you might be on the latest firmware already. I got one a year ago or so.

Firmware is 6 I think

I had issues with the screen not turning on when I would power it on or switch an input and it would not detect a signal. Latest firmware has been perfect

People have been using LG 49" OLEDs as monitors for a while. If you have a tiny desk obviously you'd be too close, but wall mounted or as far back as possible most desks can accommodate it.

I've had the LG 48C1 for almost 1.5 years now, which Rtings says this Aorus is essentially an exact match for quality-and-performance-wise. If true, this is an absolute STEAL. The 48C1 is a beautiful display. I used it for the first 6 months literally 12-15 hours per day for work, 7 days per week, with zero signs of burn-in. Thinking about picking this up now too...
