I would totally jump on this if I didn't want my drive to die the next day.

2TB is $140.00. Any reason not to get this as an external back up for photos and videos?

I am not quite sure how to post a screenshot on here. However i was incorrect. I bought the modern not the movement version. That one was 57.99 yesterday. I can still provide a screenshot if you would like.

My apologies. i clicked the link and seen it say i already purchased this but did not pay close enough attention that it said another variant.

I will edit my other post to correct it.

Ah man, was hoping for a price adjust. Smilie

Yeah, all these manufactures need to slow their roll with the number of SKUs they have.

No. TeamGroup can make decently priced products. Their RAM is usually great for the budget-minded.

Just this controller runs really hot under full load with a temperature Celsius delta of 30 degrees inaccuracy. Basically, the drive is actually running hotter than what the drive tells the computer.

Many NVME drives have this problem. It should concern people since most product pamphlets advertise their upper operating temperature is usually 70 degrees Celsius.

Look at the last picture:

https://www.techpowerup.com/revie...ssd/7.html

The argument against this is usually most people don't write/read their drives under full load (unless they're updating Windows).

However there are NVME drives out there that don't suffer this problem. Usually they are DRAM-less and use some HMB feature. There are also a few that run cool with DRAM.

If I had to use this drive, I wouldn't put it in a laptop. For a desktop, direct at least 120mm fan on it.
