I have 4 different KastKing baitcasting combos that I use for largemouth bass and they are my go-to's over my other Abu's, Quantum's and Lews. I had one reel that started having some problems, but it ended up being my fault that I was not maintaining it correctly - simply oiled and cleaned it well and went back to working perfect. I recommend KastKing but understand everyone has different experiences with them. Good luck on the water!

I use Kast King for my beach reels, and with only rinsing off, they still work great in the surf.

I've never heard of OneBass branded products.

I've had 2 of their rods. Both broke within a year or 2 of use. One fell in a current and the tip broke off. The other broke well sitting in my garage during winter. I've had other rods that lasted years. So not buying these again.

any recommendation for a semi beginner looking for a rod and real for anything from LM Bass, to northern, muskie. Pan fishing as well but, I may just buy a smaller cheapo for that

Since you are fishing a variety of fish and sizes, you may want to go the spinning route instead of baitcaster. Spinners are more forgiving with respect to lure weight. Since this is a KastKing thread, here is a good combo they offer in the 7' length and 3000 reel size which will be fine for your target ranges.

Try's a Medium Heavy 7'-7'2" the LM, Northern and Muskie.

Panfish I would go with a completely different rod probably in the 7 foot range but an ultra light, it's more fun that way.

Tactical Bassin on YouTube has their annual buyers guides and does one hundred dollar combos all the way through 500 in increments.

For those that are looking for a deal.. go back to the original link and scroll to see the different deals that are on sale for 25% or more off. These are great deals for those of us that are normal, not snobby, anglers that can't afford $300 Kistler rods.
